Enhancing Multi-dimensional Business Connectivity along the Belt and Road
|
- Under this context, discussions spotlighted areas such as the global supply chain, trade and investment, sustainable development, and innovation and technology which are important in regional collaborations. We looked at how economies along the Belt and Road, particularly those in ASEAN, Central Asia, and South Asia, could synergise efforts to continue remodelling the trade and economic landscape both within and beyond Asia. Additionally, we delved into the business opportunities presented by the BRI to the related economies.
- Hong Kong's strategic role as a “super connector”, “super value-adder”, and an “international trade & finance hub” within the BRI framework was also explored, while examining how the global business community could leverage Hong Kong's unique advantages to seize the latest opportunities available.

Embracing Sustainability and its Opportunities
|
- In this discussion, our members discussed how cross-border collaboration within the domain of green finance, infrastructure, technology and other areas could tap into opportunities that advance sustainable development and low-carbon transition. Hong Kong has concentrated its efforts on green finance, constructing a digital economy, and developing into an international innovation and technology hub. We also deliberated on how global businesses could leverage Hong Kong's green strengths to embrace sustainability and its opportunities.

Navigating the Opportunities and Complexities of the Islamic Economy
|
- This session dissected the business opportunities, guiding principles and the challenges of the Islamic economy, such as regulatory harmonisation, product innovation, and talent development, etc. to build a robust ecosystem for further development. We also examined the unique opportunities offered by this multifaceted economic model and looked at how Hong Kong, as a global hub emphasising ESG, fintech innovation and a sophisticated insurance industry, could cater to the evolving demands and growth of the Islamic economy.
- This session also aimed at facilitating collaborative efforts between Hong Kong, Islamic economies, and other Belt and Road stakeholders, providing a comprehensive understanding of the opportunities and challenges in this dynamic global market.
