On 7 December 2015, the independent Insurance Authority (“IA”) was established under the Insurance Companies (Amendment) Ordinance 2015 (“IC(A)O”). The IA is a new insurance regulator independent of the Government. The objectives of its establishment are to modernize the insurance industry regulatory infrastructure to facilitate the stable development of the industry, provide better protection for policy holders, and comply with the requirement of the International Association of Insurance Supervisors that insurance regulators should be financially and operationally independent of the government and industry.

The IA took over the regulatory functions of the then Office of the Commissioner of Insurance, which was a Government department, on 26 June 2017. It is expected that the IA will take over the regulation of insurance intermediaries from the three Self-Regulatory Organizations (“SROs”), and implement a new statutory regulatory and licensing regime within two years thereafter.

The three SROs are the Insurance Agents Registration Board established under The Hong Kong Federation of Insurers, The Hong Kong Confederation of Insurance Brokers and Professional Insurance Brokers Association.

Invest in Pomerania is a regional non-profit initiative that supports foreign direct investment projects in Pomerania. It acts as a "one stop shop", providing help and services at every stage of the investment process. Since 2011, it has attracted 77 investment projects, which helped to create ca. 12,000 new jobs.

Invest in Pomerania’s partners are: the Marshal’s Office of Pomorskie Voivodeship, the cities of Gdansk, Gdynia, Slupsk, Sopot, Koscierzyna, Pruszcz Gdanski, Tczew, Rumia, Wejherowo County, Malbork City Commune, Starogard Gdanski City Commune, Slupsk Commune, Debnica Kaszubska Commune, Pomeranian Special Economic Zone, Slupsk Special Economic Zone, InvestGDA and Pomerania Development Agency, which coordinates the actions of the initiative.

Invest in Pomerania offers broad support during the investment process and comprehensive after-care services. The system is based on One-Stop-Shop rule. Investors that consult Invest in Pomerania are bound to receive support at each and every step of the investment process. 

Italy Hong Kong Association - The Association is an informal business club established to help Italian companies increase their business contacts with their counterparts in Hong Kong and also with fellow traders in their country. Founded in 1984, the Association comprises Italian companies of varying size, from sole traders to multinational corporations. An Executive Committee, chaired by the Italian entrepreneur Mr Riccardo Fuochi, runs the Association. The Association is a member of the Federation of Hong Kong Business Associations Worldwide, a non-profit-making organisation which provides an effective base for member associations to network and exchange information, thereby, generating business opportunities.

Since its inception 126 years ago, JCCI has focussed on the promotion and facilitation of international trade. The Chamber has a significantly high profile in the international trade arena – its trade expertise and worldwide contacts have opened doors to new business opportunities for many of members and non-members doing business internationally.

Every year we host a number of high-level incoming Trade Missions and also lead outgoing Trade Missions to explore new international markets. Chamber missions are very efficient in introducing and facilitating new trading partners to each other as pre-arranged business-to-business meetings ensure that the participants obtain the maximum benefit.

JCCI is a direct member of the International Chamber of Commerce in Paris, which makes the rules and regulations for international trade. Through its direct involvement with the ICC, JCCI participates in the numerous commissions covering all aspects of international trade, including transportation and finance.

In addition, the Chamber plays a key role in providing training in the fields of importing and exporting. Each year we run a series of workshops covering trading conditions and opportunities in different countries. Recently these workshops have mainly focussed on countries in Africa as the continent has grown in importance as a trading partner. One of the unique activities that the Chamber is involved in hosting its own EXPORTER INCUBATOR wherein black owned exporters are trained and supported throughout the value chain of Import/Export Trade until they at least reach an off-take stage of their market exploration journey.

The Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry is registered as a not-for-profit private company limited by guarantee under the Companies Act Chapter 486 of the laws of Kenya. Before the promulgation of the Kenyan Constitution in August 2010, the KNCCI had its main operations at the head office in Nairobi with regional offices in the major towns in Kenya. However, after the promulgation of the constitution, the Chamber amended the legal instrument to establish a National Office and County Chamber’s offices in all the 47 Counties. 

Established in 1998, KCCCI is an federation of 5,000 Chinese entrepreneurs in Korea. It undertakes various activities which are beneficial to its members and also cooperates with governmental and non-governmental organizations to facilitate and support its global business network.
