Established on 1 April 2002, the Singapore Business Federation (SBF) is the apex business chamber championing the interests of the Singapore business community. With 25,800 member companies, SBF’s focus is to sense, prioritise, analyse and help resolve burning issues facing significant segments of businesses. All Singapore-registered companies with a share capital of S$0.5 million and above are members of SBF.

As the bridge between the Singapore business community and the Government, SBF advocates firmly on behalf of businesses and our workforce, as well as at international settings, to promote the growth and vibrancy of our business community, contributing to the prosperity of Singapore.

The Federation works closely with key local and foreign business chambers, and has inaugurated the Trade Association & Chamber (TAC) Alliance to be a better enabler for the business community.

With the rapid development of the internet, Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) have become omnipresent in our daily lives. The Smart City concept involves using ICT as a core consideration in urban planning and management. The goal of a Smart City is to enhance the quality of life enjoyed by all residents through using ICT to improve the efficiency of social services.

The Smart City concept embodies a focus on ICT, covers almost every aspect of society and daily life. According to Boyd Cohen, an internationally renowned urban strategist, Smart City consists of 6 major components, namely Smart Economy, Smart Environment, Smart People, Smart Mobility, Smart Living and Smart Government.

In recent years many countries have been devoted significant resources to developing Smart Cities. In Hong Kong, the 2016 Policy Address announced that the Innovation & Technology Bureau (ITB) will study the development of a "Smart City" in collaboration with research institutions, public and private organizations. The Policy Address stated that ITB will then formulate a digital framework and standards for the development of Hong Kong as a Smart City. 

In view of this, the Smart City Consortium (SCC) was set up to share our expertise, advice and views in collaboration with other professional bodies to assist the Government in building a Smart City.

Promoting US - China trade and Hong Kong as premier international business center has been our "business" for over 40 years.

The Associated Chinese Chambers of
Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (ACCCIM)
is the national level organisation of the Chinese
chambers of commerce and industry in Malaysia.
Founded on 2nd July 1921, ACCCIM has 17 Constituent
Chambers located separately in the 13 states of the nation.
Direct and indirect membership of all Constituent
Chambers are well over 100,000, representing
Malaysian Chinese companies, individuals
and trade associations.
