The AustCham Advisory Council brings together some of the most eminent and influential members of the Hong Kong and Macao business community.  Its purpose is to help guide the Chamber’s strategic development and enhance its engagement and profile with the broader business community in Hong Kong and Macao, including how to better advocate and promote the Chamber’s interests within the community and to the Hong Kong and Macao governments. 

The Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) is a framework for infrastructure development. It will bring together peoples across the Belt and Road region and will have multiple secondary impacts and effects on the incomes, wealth, societies and cultures of the peoples and geographical regions and cities along the highways and the railway.

These major impacts and effects can be considered as first and second-order direct and indirect network externality effects ranging from changes in spatial distribution of peoples, economic and social activities to cultural enrichment, and the spread of policies, regulations, management and governmental approaches. Hong Kong’s world-class urban management can make an important contribution to help the Belt and Road countries maximise the benefits of these effects, and protect against the negative effects of greater connectivity.

Formed by HKUrbanLab researchers and collaborating with partners in the Belt and Road regions and across the world, The Belt and Road Urban Observatory (OBORobs) initiates an ambitious forward-looking research agenda to measure, evaluate, predict, influence and enhance the indirect network effects and benefits of BRI on the cities, city systems and peoples in the Belt and Road region. Its overarching aim is to help capture more network benefit, for local peoples, cities and nations as Eurasia becomes progressively connected.

The Chamber is one of Hong Kong's biggest and most active independent international business organisations representing a broad span of British, Hong Kong and international companies doing business in, with, or through Hong Kong. The Chamber encourages diversity in its membership and activities and has over 1,000 members from the biggest multinationals through to a broad range of medium and smaller companies and start-ups. The Chamber’s aim is to help our members grow their business, and promote and represent their business interests by providing representation and advocacy; networking and brand exposure; as well as information and insight.

Founded in 1977, the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong is a proactive, non-government body that provides an extensive networking platform for members with business interests in Canada, Hong Kong, Mainland China, and the broader Asia-Pacific region.

CanChamHK is one of the largest Canadian business organizations outside of Canada, one of the leading and most active international chambers in Hong Kong, and an influential business group in Asia-Pacific.

Our mission is to connect members with one another and with other members of the business network in Hong Kong in order to expand their opportunities so that their businesses and careers thrive.

INTRODUCTION
Established in 1934, The Chinese Manufacturers' Association of Hong Kong (CMA) is a not-for-profit chamber of commerce and one of the most representative industrial associations in Hong Kong. With over 3,000 member companies from various sectors of industry and trade, the CMA is committed to serving the community and safeguarding public interest.

OBJECTIVES
The CMA's primary objectives are:
‧ to promote Hong Kong's trade and industrial development;
‧ to represent industry in the formulation and implementation of Government policies;
‧ to participate in community development work; and
‧ to foster international understanding and co-operation.

The Faculty of Business – Belt and Road Centre (FB-BARC) of Hong Kong Polytechnic University is a platform that pools the Faculty’s existing research strengths in such areas as logistics and maritime studies, finance, economics, marketing, management and international business to conduct inter-disciplinary research, consultancy and curriculum development activities relevant to Belt and Road (B&R). We endeavor to engage in research and consultancy on the Belt and Road economies, disseminate research findings and knowledge to general public, and build collaborative relationship with industry, government organizations, professional bodies, and universities along the Belt and Road.

The Federation of Thai Industries (F.T.I.) was established on 13 November 1967, having been formerly known as The Association of Thai Industries (A.T.I.). It was founded by 27 founding industrialists. The logo of the A.T.I. was conceived for the first time for the registration of its by-laws with the Department of Commercial Registration, Ministry of Commerce under the Trade Association Act. Over twenty years of its early life, the A.T.I. was able to fill many key roles which were well recognized by both government and private sectors. It was entrusted to act as the representative of the Thai industrial businesses of the whole kingdom, including acting as the voice of the private sector component in the Joint Public-Private Sectors Consultative Committee for Solving Economic Problems (JPPCC) chaired by the Prime Minister. On 28 December 1987 the government legislated “The Federation of Thai Industries Act, 1987” which took effect at its printing in the Royal Gazette resulting in upgrading the former A.T.I. – The Federation of Thai Industries (F.T.I.) which came under the supervision of the Ministry of Industry.

F.T.I. is the private sector administrative juristic person to serve as the core organization and also as the center for all Thai industries in the kingdom. It is a non-profit organization with the main duties of promotion and supporting the industry, focusing on developing sustainable growth to all industrial operations in the country.
