The French Chamber is today one of the largest European chambers in Hong Kong and one of the largest French Chambers in Asia-Pacific. Established in 1986, the French Chamber is a private association that caters for its members’ needs and interests. With over one third of members being non-French nationals, the French Chamber takes pride in its diverse membership base.

The Hong Kong Investment Funds Association (“HKIFA”) is a non-profit-making organization that represents the asset management industry in Hong Kong.   We have two major roles, namely consultation and education.  On consultation, we work closely with the authorities to relay the views of our members on issues that have implications for the asset management industry.  On education, we spearhead initiatives to enable Hong Kong people to understand more about the risk/return characteristics of mutual funds; and to use them effectively for retirement investment and other financial planning purposes.  We have about 70 fund management companies as full/overseas members, managing over 1,300 SFC-authorized funds.  Assets under management were about US$1,250 billion as at the end of October 2017.  In addition, we have about 60 affiliate and associate members.  (www.hkifa.org.hk).

Registered in Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Chinese Enterprises Association (HKCEA) was established on 8 March 1991.The HKCEA is a non-profit association mainly composed of Hong Kong-registered companies solely funded by capital from Mainland China and joint ventures set up by capital from the Mainland and capital from Hong Kong or overseas. The HKCEA has a high profile and exercises an important influence in the industrial and commercial community of Hong Kong.It has a membership of over 1,000 companies operating in various fields of manufacturing and service industries.
The HKCEA’s objectives are: first, promote economic and technological exchanges and cooperation between Hong Kong and the Mainland, and between the Mainland and other countries or regions, in order to expand trade relations; second, promote the Mainland’s investment in Hong Kong and other countries or regions, and vice versa; third, establish and maintain a close relationship with the business groups of Hong Kong and other countries or regions; fourth, promote cooperation and liaison among HKCEA members, encouraging and assisting them to resolve commercial disputes through conciliation; and fifth, provide diversified services to HKCEA members, enhancing and safeguarding their interests. Currently, the HKCEA consists of 25 committees on industries, professions and local enterprises, as well as the Fraternity of the Mainland Window Companies, the Chinese Securities Association of Hong Kong, and the Listed Companies Council.

The Hong Kong Chinese Importers’ and Exporters’ Association was founded in 1954. It is one of the major business communities in Hong Kong and has nearly 4,000 members. The incumbent president is Mr. Cheung Hok Sau MH, JP.

The Honorary President of HKCIEA Mr. Wong Ting Kwong GBS, JP is the incumbent councilor of the Import and Export Functional Constituency of the Legislative Council of Hong Kong.

Import and export trade industry is the pillar industry in Hong Kong economy, and HKCIEA is the most representative chamber of commerce in import and export functional constituency, some members are elected as members of Election Committee of the SAR Government, deputy to the National People's Congress, as well as members of CPPCC.

Since its founding, HKCIEA has been committed to facilitating trade exchanges between its members and the rest of the world, and has been gradually developing into a platform for its members to express opinions, collect various political and social information so as to make contribution to society and to strengthen liaison between members.

HKCIEA makes every effort to assist industries in understanding the changes of government policies and the business environment, by holding economic forums, seminars and publishing research reports, the business sector would thus be enabled to better understand the business environment. HKCIEA is also a bridge between government and business sectors, releasing policy information to members on one hand, while conveying their views to relevant government departments on the other.

HKCIEA strives to give back to the community by carrying out activities such as business exchanges, trade missions in Mainland, national education, leadership training as well as charity drives.

Nine working departments: Industrial and Commercial Affairs Committee, Social Affairs Committee, The Mainland Affairs Committee, Members Affairs Committee, Communications and External Affairs Committee, Youth Affairs Committee, Women Affairs Committee, Research Department, and Finance Department.

The Hong Kong Exporters’ Association found in 1955 is committed to be the leading organization to develop Hong Kong as Trading Hub for exporters. HKEA safeguards the interests and fosters the business growth of exporters in Hong Kong.

HKEA never ceases to explore potential markets and channels for generating new business opportunities for Hong Kong exporters.

HKEA initiated the Hong Kong Gifts and Premium Fair over 30 years ago and now it co-organizes the world renowned Fair with the Hong Kong Trade Development Council. HKEA, together with its members and awardees, participates in various local and overseas renowned trade fairs and provides online channels to showcase their innovative and cutting-edge products.

Embracing the changing business environment, HKEA has been dedicated to encourage the transformation of manufacturers and exporters through initiating the Hong Kong Smart Design Awards since 2012 with funding support from CreateHK. The Awards has been expanding and gaining recognition from industrial practitioners and international buyers and aiming to build Hong Kong as the Asian design product sourcing hub.

HKEA, with the same ambition as the initiation of the Fair and the Awards, forges ahead to launch the 1st edition of Asia Exhibition of Inventions Hong Kong cum competition in 2018 aiming to build Hong Kong as the Innovation and Invention Hub of Asia.

The Hong Kong Federation of Insurers (HKFI) comprises 136 member companies and is recognised by the Government as the representative body of the insurance industry.

The HKFI liaises with the Insurance Authority on legislative and industry matters, and is committed to being the progressive voice of the industry and help build Hong Kong into a leading insurance hub in Asia Pacific and improving the professionalism of the insurance industry through promotion and refinement of its self-regulatory framework.

Established in 1963, The Hong Kong Institute of Bankers (HKIB) is the first non-profit institution that provides training and certification services to the banking community in Hong Kong. Playing an important role in talent development in the local banking industry for more than five decades now, the Institute is also proud to be the first professional body in the territory to offer banking qualifications equivalent to a Master’s degree level.
